Pittsburgh Makeup Artist: Julie Marckisotto

At The Event Group, we take vendor selection seriously! Choosing the right vendors for your event is one of the most important steps in the event planning process. Today we are highlighting Julie Marckisotto of Pittsburgh Makeup. Julie stopped by our offices for makeovers and we had a great time chatting with her about the process and her favorite products. As a bride, the last thing you want to be worrying about is your makeup, and hiring a makeup artist is a great way to ease your mind and ensure you look your absolute best on your big day!

Julie came prepared with lots of different makeup and set up a small, neat work area. She asked Gina and Sydney about their skin types. As she applied the different products, she explained how to apply the product and the different brands she was using. During your bridal makeup trial, it is important to let your makeup artist know about your skin. Letting her know things like ‘oily skin’ or ‘acne prone skin’ can help to determine which products she uses.

It is important to schedule a trial run before your big day. This is so the makeup artist can get to know your coloring and skin type and it is also the perfect time for you, as the bride, to let her know what your likes and dislikes are. This way, there are no surprises and you are sure to look your absolute best! To see before and after photos, check us out on Instagram!
