It was trending on Twitter, made the front page of magazines and newspapers and is now all over the internet… Kim and Kanye have officially wed in Italy. From the photos that have been released thus far, the wedding was absolutely incredible! You can gather inspiration for your own wedding or event from the celeb couple’s nuptials. We have a good example…

Kim and Kanye said their ‘I Do’s’ in front of a stunning floral wall.

The duo must share a love for floral walls because Kim was photographed with one earlier this month.

Here at The Event Group, we are very familiar with floral walls. In 2011, we had the honor of being a part of Steeler’s quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger and his wife, Ashley’s wedding day. We had Hepatica design a pink floral wall made entirely out of roses. This served as a beautiful backdrop for photos!

Floral walls not only look beautiful but also fill the venue with a wonderful, fresh scent. This is something that can easily be incorporated into the wedding decor and will be a definite WOW factor!

Great Alternatives to a Traditional Guest Book

A guest book wonderful for the bride and groom to have as a keepsake from their special day. Besides the traditional guest book, there are many other creative ways you can create a custom ‘book’ for your guests to sign and leave messages. We enjoy searching for new concepts and ideas! We wanted to take a moment to share some of the wonderful ideas from past clients.

For this wedding, the couple met at Boston College, so incorporating something BC into the wedding was a welcome addition. This was not only fun for guests, but also a great keepsake for the bride and groom in their future home. See more photos from this wedding, here.

photo 2 (3)This was another framed item that became a gorgeous fixture for the wedding reception. The couple’s monogram was framed and the mat became an area where guests could sign and write their well-wishes. This was also great for the couple because it went with both the reception decor and with their decor at home.

One of our couples chose to go with the traditional book style for their guests to sign; but they really made it special with a pen that fit in well with their decor and winter wonderland ‘theme’. Choosing a unique pen or even changing up the linen that is on the guest book table is a great way to have a traditional guest book with your own original twist! See more photos from this wedding, here.

0018This couple added some vintage flair to their ‘guest book’ table. Guests were able to fill out old library cards and put them into card catalogs. This added a beautiful element to their reception! See more photos from this wedding, here.

Fisherreception052This beautiful postage box was placed on a table for guests to write letters to the couple. On their first anniversary, the couple will open the box to remind them of all of their friends and family who helped them celebrate their special day. See more photos from this wedding, here.
